Verified ReviewerResolved: Zero Stars - Impossible to Easily Cancel, Bullying Messages
Company CLAIMS to have cancelled my commitment plan, but that remains to be seen - if I am charged for another month after receiving written confirmation that they cancelled it at my request and that I would not be charged in the future, I will be seeking a legal remedy against this company.
This leads to resentment and a lack of interest in continuing use of the app. When you sign up, be sure to read all the details - I did, and I knew there was a commitment involved, but I was wanting to try to lose weight - I just didn't expect the bullying, aggressive comments the app would send me, and decided to cancel. When I tried to cancel, the app basically locked up, with a spinning icon that never progressed past the point of 'we're processing your cancellation, don't click back or leave the page' - I left it sitting for over 5 minutes, and it never made any progress. I contacted their chat support (which is an AI bot), and after 5 tries at getting it to cancel my commitment plan and it continuing to give me the same incorrect information, I finally told it to connect me to a real person.
To their credit, I was connected relatively quickly - which was the only good part about this whole transaction. 'Roman,' the customer support person I was connected with, recited a script about how he understood I wanted to cancel my subscription, but since I had not canceled in the first 7 days, the commitment plan would remain active until the end of the commitment period in March (and this conversation took place in October). I said no - that their help docs and terms and conditions state that cancellation can be done, but there is a cancellation fee involved. I had already checked this out, and since the fee would be less than I would end up paying if the commitment continued, I was willing to pay it to get this company out of my life.
Roman said he would 'need time to check this out.' How on earth does someone who works in customer service for the company not know how their cancellation policy works when it is clearly stated when a customer signs up and it's in their very own help docs? From the customer side, this feels extremely shady and dishonest. At this point, I am waiting to hear back from them once this customer service rep figures out how to reply to a request to cancel a commitment plan, but I fully expect I may be in for a fight here, which is ridiculous. All I want to do is cancel, which is clearly stated as being possible in their own terms and conditions and their help docs - but their own customer service people are apparently trained not to let you cancel.
Don't deal with this company - ever. You will definitely regret it.
UPDATE: The customer service rep got back in touch with me relatively quickly to say that because I had cancelled at the 'end of the term" (which is not true - the commitment term ends in March and this is October), the option to cancel and pay the cancellation fee is no longer available to me - but as an exception, he was cancelling my renewals and I would no longer be billed the monthly commitment fee. I requested that an email be sent that specifically stated that my commitment plan was cancelled and I would not be charged the monthly commitment plan fee. Despite the rep saying he emailed it to me twice, that email was never received.
I requested that he put the information into the chat screen instead, so I could take a screenshot of it for proof if needed later.
He did that, and I saved the screenshots of our entire conversation. I never did receive the emails he claimed he sent (and they didn't go to my spam folder either).
I'll come back with an update if I get charged again.
- Issues outweigh any pros
- Massive customer service issues cant easily cancel
- Bullying passive aggressive comments and messages from the app
Preferred solution: JUST CANCEL MY COMMITMENT PLAN! Their own customer service claims not to know how to do this, or that they even are able to cancel.
User's recommendation: DON'T DO IT unless you like being bullied and scammed.

Verified Reviewer |Resolved: Bogus website/company.
Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with full refund. Simple did a chargeback to credit card for four (4) billings and should show up soon.
A fifth billing is being refunded by the cards' bank supposedly once the bank sees the cancellation and the four billing refund. Initially contacted company named Simply. They replied they had no record of any dealings I had with them. They also said they had hundreds of contacts regarding this 'subscription'As best I recall the information I was researching required you to sign up for, what I found out was this 'subscription' and you could immediately opt out, cancel.
I cancelled.
Got they're initial billing confused with another charge with a nearly same amount. Next billing I realized there was no cancellation.
But in Novembers credit card statement I'm billed $44.00 from SimplePremiumdoverde. I thought this was legit for something I'd ordered.
Then $44.00 shows up again on the December and January credit card billing! Credit my credit card for $132.00 immediately please.

Supporter |Resolved: Trying to cancel Simple Life before trial period ended
I just found a charge for Simple Life on my credit card!
Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with full refund. understood and refunded. If you don't plan to use your cell phone, or you use a masked email address, then don't use the company.
After hours of trying to contact this company (I used an email mask on my laptop so couldn't download app on my phone) I found pissedconsumer.com, who connected me with the company. I had the most wonderful experience with the CS team, especially Fin and Emily.
They canceled my account immediately and there was no charge, since I was still in my trial period. Thanks to pissedconsumer.com for providing a way to contact the company within an hour!
User's recommendation: Don't use an email mask unless you're sure you won't have to download an app!

Verified Reviewer |Simple Life Premium
This company is persistent and is trying to take $59.99 out of my account. I have never signed up for their premium service.
I've never signed up for any of their services, and I keep getting emails that say I need to complete my purchase. Well, if I didn't complete my purchase, why are they trying to take money out of my account in the first place? There's no number to get in touch with anybody. I have emailed them at their support email address supposedly, and I never hear a word back.
I am telling them to cease and desist trying to take money out of my account because they are mistaken. It's all under an email that I never use anymore, and the only reason I knew about it was because they kept being declined in my bank account, thank God.
But there's nobody to talk to, and they just keep trying to get the money, so I can't unlock my account. It's ridiculous.
Preferred solution: I would like for them to stay out of my bank account and to quit trying to take money out of my account! And an apology!

Verified Reviewer |Resolved: Cancellation of subscription
Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with partial refund. I contacted customer service and had a few conversations by email.
Was asked to provide some info, but I only provided what I thought necessary as I was unsure if they were totally legit. They agreed to a refund only after I requested it.
Will see if it comes through. If not, I will proceed with contacting consumer protection.
I have been charged for several months for a subscription I thought was free for a limited time and then would not be charged unless I was notified first. I want to cancel this subscription and expect a refund.
I do not have the app anymore and am unable to find it on the app store, so I cannot cancel through the app. I would appreciate your taking care of this.

Verified Reviewer |Resolved: I need to cancel this
It was not my intent to purchase this program. I was scrolling through the advert and was trying to see how much the final payment would be and ended up paying for it.
I have not downloaded the app and do not want a subscription.
I understand that I will be billed on a continuous billing system and want this to end effective today. I attempted to research how to end this subscription but could not figure it out, as I have not downloaded the app.

Saw advertisement that states "Tai Chi Walking program for seniors is now free!" HA! The word "free" should've sent up red flags immediately, but I was trying to be optimistic.
Also showing on the top of the ad is "Sponsored by Simple Life". Went through all the questions (that are exactly the same as every other online fitness program/app) and when the last screen popped up IT'S THE PAY SCREEN!
What happened to free?? Or at least a free trial?

Verified Reviewer |Fraud charge
I was charged for a service that I didn't order. I was charged $11.99 on Nov 7, 2025, and $55.00 on Dec 7, 2025.
This was authorized through PayPal and was set up as an automatic payment. This is fraud. I have canceled my PayPal and Mastercard accounts so nothing else can go through with this fraud.
I was obviously hacked. Please stop everything.
